IRONWOOD
North Tustin, CA
Located in a 1976 North Tustin home, this renovation focused on an outdated kitchen and home bar through thoughtful material selection and refined detailing.
The home bar was reimagined as a more intimate, character-driven space. Rich wood shelving, aged brass accents, refinished original bar, and a dramatic botanical wallcovering transform what was once a dated feature into a layered, inviting focal point. Open shelving with integrated rails with soapstone countertop add both utility and display, while picture lighting and a vintage art deco pendant enhances the warmth and atmosphere, creating a moody and quaint space intended for gathering and lingering.
The kitchen was updated with an emphasis on restraint and longevity. Softly tailored cabinetry, warm brass hardware, and hand-finished tile introduce texture and subtle variation while maintaining a calm, cohesive palette. Dark soapstone countertops provide contrast and grounding, balancing the lighter finishes and reinforcing a sense of architectural clarity. Lighting and fixtures were selected to feel timeless and functional, supporting a space designed for everyday use without relying on trend.
