This custom kitchen design project originated as a collaborative effort with Cheryl Gardewine of Studio CG, whose established expertise in creating thoughtful, client-centered residential interiors laid a strong foundation for the space. When circumstances required Cheryl to step away from the project, I stepped in to carry it forward to completion.

I took primary responsibility for refining and finalizing many of the detailed elements that define the kitchen's character and functionality. This included selecting the wood stains, determining the direction and orientation of the wood grain, granite and marble slab selection, and choosing the paint colors to achieve a cohesive palette. I also contributed to the redesign of key cabinetry components, particularly the inset nook of the built-in buffet and the design of the custom handmade wood cabinet pulls, ensuring these features aligned with both aesthetic goals and practical use. Additionally, I assisted in identifying and selecting a qualified local artisan and contractor to execute the vision.

The result is a beautifully realized kitchen that honors Cheryl Gardewine's original concept while reflecting the thoughtful refinements and detailed decisions that shaped its final, polished outcome.
